The Chill is in The Air…

I feel as if I didn’t have enough “summer” to get all my riding and projects done.  My goal was to have the Bobber done before the end of the season, but between getting the newly purchased ’78 Bonnie done and painting a house (along with a full time job), it didn’t work out.

The bobber is almost done, some wiring, along with carb and rear brake work.  I believe if given a full week of work she would be on the road.

The bonnie is currently sitting with the head off due to getting way too hot and when pulling out the plugs a “fixed” plug thread pulled right out.  So I had to re-install a tread repair kit. I also went ahead and rebuilt the  rocker boxes completely, saw that the exhaust valves were almost completely white like the plugs, so I added bigger jets to the carbs to richen up the mix.  Before that had to remove and re-install a clutch due to the bike sitting so long the clutch plates had frozen up and stuck together.

The 250 project and CB550 never got touched this summer, looks like the Winter has plenty of work for me.
